Ingredients
all 14 types- For the meatloaf:
- 225g lean minced beef
- 225g lean minced pork
- Breadcrumbs made with 1 ½ slices medium wholemeal bread
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh mixed herbs (parsley, thyme, oregano)
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium eating apple, grated
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- For the onion gravy:
- 2 red onions, finely sliced
- calorie-controlled cooking spray
- 4 tsp reduced salt gravy granules made with ½ pint (285ml) water
- 1 tsp wholegrain mustard
- 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives

Preheat the oven to 190°C/gas 5. Mix all the meatloaf ingredients together in a large bowl and season to taste.
Step 2
Press the mixture into a 450g loaf tin. Cover with foil and bake in the oven for 1¼ hours until cooked through.
Step 3
Meanwhile, to make the onion gravy, heat a non-stick pan, add the onionswith three sprays of low calorie spray and dry-fry over a moderate heat until the onions start to brown. Add ½ pint of cold water and stir. Mix the gravy powder in a separate jug with 2 tbsp cold water and stir into the pan.
Step 4
Simmer gently to thicken, adding more water if required, then stir in the mustard and chives. Delicious poured over the meatloaf.
