  1. 1kg red cabbage, cored and finely sliced
  2. 2 eating apples, sliced
  3. 1 cinnamon stick
  4. 8 cloves
  5. 1 tbsp light soft brown sugar
  6. 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  7. knob of butter

Directions

Place all the ingredients into a large pan with a tight fitting lid.

Step 2

Cover and cook over a low heat for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender. Serve.
