Ingredients

all 9 types
  1. 100g red lentils, rinsed
  2. 1 small onion, chopped
  3. 1 carrot, chopped
  4. 1 clove garlic, crushed
  5. 600ml low-salt vegetable stock
  6. 2 tbsp light crème fraîche
  7. 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  8. freshly ground black pepper
  9. bread, to serve

Directions

Step 1

Place the lentils, onion, carrot, garlic and stock into a pan, bring to the boil and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the lentils are tender.

Step 2

Transfer to a blender with the crème fraîche and parsley and blend until smooth. Season and serve with a chunk of bread
